My project, titled "Enhancing Patient-Provider Interaction at SETU Sports Injury Clinic: A Study on Improving the Physiotherapy Treatment Process," began with a comprehensive literature review to establish a solid foundation. I then carefully designed a research methodology, considering all relevant stakeholders. Surveys and interviews were meticulously crafted to meet ethical standards for research in medical environments. To gather valuable insights, I distributed empathy maps to patients, capturing their experiences throughout the treatment journey. I analyzed the qualitative data using thematic analysis and affinity diagram techniques while also collecting quantitative data from surveys to support the findings. By synthesizing these results, I identified key touchpoints between patients and healthcare providers, uncovering specific issues within the treatment process. During the ideation phase, I developed personas and scenarios to create a mind map, facilitating brainstorming. Utilizing the Six Thinking Hats technique in collaborative workshops, I generated and refined ideas, resulting in a well-defined user journey aimed at enhancing patient interaction at critical touchpoints. Next, I designed the information architecture, functional modules, and sitemap, which served as the foundation for low-fidelity prototypes in Figma. I conducted the first round of user testing by developing targeted questions and analyzing recorded sessions to gather feedback, closely observing users' facial expressions and areas of confusion or frustration. Based on the initial user test findings, I refined the prototypes to mid-fidelity, incorporating graphic design considerations. The final deliverable was the PhySync app, complete with brand and marketing positioning. All project steps are documented in the process book, and the high-fidelity prototype can be viewed via the provided Figma link.
